Test Deployment on Heroku

As I continue to develop my resume, I’d have to deploy my projects on Heroku and Surge so that they can be accessed live. Heroku has some good documentation.

Since my app is in Ruby, I just have to deploy there. There are a few other languages but Ruby was the one I chose to go along with. You pretty much code along with what the documentation says, and it’s not too bad of a hassle.

Heroku pretty much gives you the base code and you just have to add some lines of code. For me, I added these lines on line 7 to line 13.

You can run the Heroku app locally to test it, and then you can run it on Heroku so that it’ll be hosted live and your server can be accessible even when your local computer is closed.

Good luck trying out Heroku and hope all goes well!
